Eracism

Our blood looks the same when it meets the eye, and it pumps from similar hearts. I don’t care what your skin color is – don’t be an a**hole!

Unfortunately, there will always be two faces; two sides of stories and at least two interpretations.

I’m Albanian-American, and I come from a generation that might identify other white Americans in their life as white friends, but if they’re also Albanian, they’re definitely cousins. That’s just how it works, I don’t know. We seem to think we are of some special race, and everyone else is just different and doesn’t get it. I’m speaking against double standards and only for the record; our eagle is black, our lands were taken over or war-torn – we’re here now too and we’re moving forward.

Trying to, at least.

We still won’t admit to being white racist either. Because if you’re like me, you don’t see it that way. We are all different, but we’re also trying to make ends meet for ourselves, and that’s the same plan. The time moves fast, I really can’t always be empathetic towards how you may have been treated in the past. I can only control my thoughts, words, or actions, and respectfully react to your’s.

The message is simple;

“Don’t bring hate with you.”

I grew up listening to how rough it was in the mountains, then the Bronx. Sometimes you have to be a little rough around the edges, and Queens is where I found the melted truth. True Americans don’t pay attention a color, they are minding their business, trying to stay cool.

It’s a grind out here for most of us, but this nation is incredible, and to most in the world, it’s just an imagination of a dream. Do you see the border numbers for the last some-odd years? What are people escaping to come here?

They all crave the land of the free.

Free handouts too, maybe. Just don’t break the law and try to get a job. I hear a lot of complaining about white privilege and racism in the news. Those cards are loosely overplayed and it does real racism injustice. We can’t paint individuals with a broad brush of their groups because it’s not an American thing to do. “We, the people” live in a country built on freedom, an endless push towards equality, and should forever remain united as one. How many people have lost their lives for lady liberty to stand stronger in America?

It’s not just a black and blue lives matter. Are we still counting each other’s bruises?

Police brutality doesn’t seem to be an issue in the big apple either, where training is top-notch and the force is as diverse as any department. However, we have noticed some concerning trends around the country. People need to understand that adrenaline rushes, non-compliant subjects, and firearms are a recipe for fatal, but isolated incidents. We need to respect our law enforcement and emergency personnel because they are who we call upon in our dire circumstances. It is up to benevolent leaders to weed out any bad actors in public or power, and we have to acknowledge that protecting and serving the people in charged up times like this is no easy task. One can imagine that walking the thin blue line has never been more difficult.

Take the racial lens out unless you actually witness discriminatory abuse of power. I urge you to actually search through independent sources of information, especially when it comes to our current state of the union, and not just see and accept polarizing headlines fueling political divide, literally breaking the news.

The president isn’t racist, perhaps egotistical, and definitely detestable at times, but there is something to respect about promises made and kept from elected leaders. The numbers and results speak for themselves while Trump speaks his version of the truth. Something people seem to struggle with, it seems. Maybe it’s because the things found in the news are geared to anger and upset us. In times like this, you won’t find that minority and female unemployment rates are at all-time lows, along with the amount of Americans on food-stamps. The Trump administration recently signed a criminal justice reform bill, allowing the release of thousands of non-violent offenders from federal prisons across the country, along with creating job-training programs and implementing processes to monitor and release prisoners for good behavior. The administration also launched a global effort to decriminalize homosexuality, which is shockingly still a crime in many countries. Tolerance required, no need for celebrations, it’s excellent that we are allowed to speak freely out here. Don’t mind the sensationalist media that has boiled hate over any of this good news. The status quo needed disruption, and Trump seems to have genuine, patriotic goals; watch his Oprah tapes from the younger years to hear his intentions. A hard-headed leader is needed when there’s constantly an “outrage mob” at the doorstep.

Instead of focusing on the negatives, how can we start finding solutions together?

Fix home first.

Stop blinding yourself from the longstanding gross negligence and corruption around DC and financial partners in the media. The president is purposely controversial for headlines, waking Americans up to certain issues to ensure we are involved in the process going forward. The average American stopped caring about politics when clickbait and race bait threw each side further and further off the edge.

Why else are immigrants pushing their way through the borders? Could some of them be incentivized? Urban communities in democrat-run cities realize their vote hasn’t produced results that were promised; they haven’t been empowered and are the real victims of injustice while leaders just miles away live in their gated communities. Where did the millions of dollars in federal grants for our inner cities go? Don’t watch what politicians say on TV, watch what they do and how they vote to prevent reform and aid for the masses’ needs. They’re managing a process in place that can be improved, but while debt piles on Americans and corporations, including the government trillions, there’s a lot of support for unaffordable, green-new-socialist ideas while the old Baltimore’s of the world receive less. We have cities in peril, with too many people living on the streets, including vets, and schools pushing kids all the way through without math or reading proficiency; poverty and crime are written on the wall, and unfortunately, drugs keep bringing pain around the block and up to the sticks too. I’m mad because God allowed so much of these bitter truths.

There are worse stories coming out on the news. I still think about the Juniors, and it doesn’t make any sense. People claim the system is broken, and I occasionally question whether or not it was purposely built such a way.

Some of us are grateful, but wish we can do more. For ourselves, then others, I guess. Is that really so bad?

I want to figure it all out, and that doesn’t involve turning a blind eye to hate or remaining silent. We have a pile of issues and responsibilities to worry about, and people are afraid to share their views and ideas on these matters. Politicians are supposed to be the mouthpiece of the people, and the media is supposed to be a source of accurate information, and we, as citizens have become overly exposed to these outlets that fear-monger, and feed the hatred of identity politics, while censoring honest voices near the middle that speak truth against their divisive tactics to control. The growing middle-class carries on with mouths shut chalking it up to a vote every four years. Then others complain on social media or blogs while corporations lobby legislators to keep marketing and feeding us garbage, and we foot the whole tax bill. Life has been great, and I can’t be sorry for the privilege; I saw what my parents came from, and helplessly looked on as one left us. Others aren’t so lucky to grow up with both. Beyond the safety and security of a free world, we long for a lifestyle like those we see on TV. You know, just living good, without a care at all.

Just imagine how it is in some other less fortunate countries, where absolute power corrupts, absolutely. The meals don’t come frequently, and homes are not very happy, yet they hang on to faith in a God more than we do.

In who do we trust?

We have it all here, and I don’t see too many people taking pride in our freedom – on the streets or social feeds – just more complaints as a dynasty of patriots become champions.

Remember the original King’s dream. We are born with equal rights, yet we continue to ignore when those with the greatest intentions are silenced. God rest the souls that sacrificed for this dream. We need to help our own, improve the system, then help others; and I’m talking about Americans first.

I love this nation, even for it’s sins, because look how far we’ve come.

Respecting the man and woman alike, and anyone identifying in between. Always care for the children, then maybe we wouldn’t have these problems.

For all that’s real in the world, we are one humanity, and that’s like family. And we need to work for it together.

This is about love.

Eracism will cause an eruption of unity.

The Albanian culture is one that historically, like many others, existed as a patriarchy. However, as we integrated into these great United States escaping communist agendas as the original colonials once did and some immigrants still do, our culture emphatically thrived on the focus of family. Flawed like the rest, but United as one, we are stronger and more vocal about our unique heritage. It’s definitely overboard at times, we literally put the flag up everywhere! That’s like patriotism though, and we should keep that energy up for America. Preach for everlasting neutrality, always balanced, true love is equal on all sides. Blind to any hatred, we should hold our standard up against any powers that threaten our unity, freedoms of speech and religion, and since we are here now, we may as well lead in reigniting the virtues of all of our founding fathers.

Editorial Note: If you have followed some of my writing, you’d know my audience is anyone, gen x-z. I talk to a crowd about what I feel is real, and I speak up against what I think has been a slow-dripping threat to society. I’m speaking strongly against media networks, platforms like this, and especially against heavy social media and tech-screen use; because I feel it reduces depth in relationships, empathy, and for some, self-esteem. Hell – it even skews reality. Be mindful, as most of these new technologies have been engineered to create addiction with content that can be curated with an agenda. Phone notifications trigger the same dopamines drugs do, meanwhile the neighborhood parks have been empty for years as I drive by. Communities full of strangers, we are lucky to get a wave across the way “hello”. Heads down, we are more disconnected at the soul. That’s why it’s all love if you see me out there. I was raised that way. God blessed us, and for those less fortunate, let’s raise each-other up that way. Lost or found, we can’t move forward without a discussion, so talk about it. For real, let’s fight racism, hatred, and violence where it always lives first, in the minds of people. It’s 2019 and we all have a chance to participate, and some people have a larger reach in influence. Let’s hope for blessings in one another as well as maintaining physical and mental wellness. We are each responsible to cure the world this way. We are a part of one humanity and something way bigger than any one of us. With each thought, word, or action, we can choose with either love or hate. Choose wisely.

Think about any hate they pushed between you and I. We have to protect our energy, Love.

Call Failure

Take it back to the flip days, typing messages on T9 and counting call minutes until 9pm. That’s because nights and weekends were free, and so is this text here. I’m trying to kill a byte or two, do you remember how fast 56k modems were? Or how quickly it evolved into routing high-speed data through a household full of devices? Things sped up a bit since the 90’s and this could be a moral fiber-optic solution. We can make waves through this very bandwidth by avoiding the current tide of overstimulation, routine programming, and ignoring any detractors of the truth. What is all that content and data doing to you?

Information overload, it’s why you stopped reading. How’s that attention span? 2 seconds in and you’re over it, this is moving too slow; already rolling eyes and moving on to the next thing.

Focus for a second. There’s just too much imagery, and the traps of comparison and expectation with others can ruin that esteem. Don’t take it personal – this thing in your hand is as much genius as it is trash, and although it brings convenience to your lifestyle, it saturates an entire population’s excessive desires over needs. Another app upgrade and too many accessories, programming eyes before and after sleep. Writing too deep, I’m a hypocrite and use it too much at times as well. Streaming content for your screaming dopamines, it’s also why you stopped opening up to people, and consistently retreat to this screen. Constant bland conversations, low vibrations, a lot of small talking with the same souls hiding healing hearts. Step a foot in, we have real responsibility in commitment to one another. Nope, easy peasy – no strings, we rather keep it moving.

The whole world is attached, interconnected on 4G, but disconnected walking down the street. We bump heads because I am you, and you’re me. Stop feeding into the division and flipping the “we” into “whatever.” There’s no need to beat up on yourself or others for trying to find their best version of “me”.

Straight up, we have been a part of a social experiment. The literal control is your brain sampling eyes over time.

Be mindful of the environment that exposes you to certain information and beliefs. Where are you getting updates from? Websites, news, or sponsored social media memes? One can argue to adapt to the times, but I can ask you to look at the statistics. Specifically, check depression rates and narcissism for millennial-y and generation-z, literally kicking up while social media boomed onto handheld devices. I’m not going to do it all for you. Ask jeeves, I mean google, and watch how quickly ads in other apps adjust accordingly.

How can we be assured the information we receive is good, unbiased, or even true. Just like various substances, and unfortunately some people, even technology is abused behind the screens. The algorithms are out of my grade, but it’s like a war over information control. What are wiki-leaks? Controlling all the data sounds like a monopolized threat to freedom and privacy for all if I’m speaking honestly. And there you are, still fighting to be correct or above the next, because it seems satisfaction lingers in that entitlement, but it’s ever-elusive and still slightly out of reach.

We should be happy with how we have it, and accept each other’s individual being.

It’s okay to want more, for yourself, others, and anyone that could use a hand. Just do it without attacking rights and speech that were constitutionally written as god-given and free.

People are slowly shifting to the direction of their gut instincts. Awakening, and seeing what this world actually needs.

Presence of Love.

One nation, under God, valuing life and not things. With people in power pushing for a better future, opportunities for all, and freedom from any greedy, malicious powers pulling strings.

Someone has to call out these big tech companies for censoring voices and information, programming addiction, and eating up our data while selling it to third parties who in turn, sell us more products, services, and ideas we don’t need.

Am I right or wrong? I do know for sure though, this was your privilege to read.

Pro-Truth

Tell ’em how you feel baby!

Let me explain a few things, everyone is entitled to an opinion. Abortion is a serious subject, let’s not let it get out of hand. I’m pro-life, but can understand the other side, whether or not you keep reading is your choice. I write with my left, and throw with my right, maybe brain development on both sides allows me to agree with all of you.

When does our journey of living truly begin? Legally, it’s a date of birth. Morally, it’s probably the moment of conception. Life is hard, and so is parenting, I guess difficult decisions have to be made. These delicate issues force humanity to draw a line in the sand or so it seems, we need multiple types of climate change. Are we taking care of this world?

A heartbeat represents life, and some people instinctively desire to protect it. At 8 weeks in the womb, research shows a baby’s neural tube is formed allowing it to feel pain. I say “it” because that’s how pro-choice sort of feels in concern to the voiceless unborn. Time and health matters on the other hand, who’s to say how one should spend the potential 40 weeks of carrying then caring for their contributions to the population?

Our newest generations statistically give up on reproduction – sometimes it’s the consequence of experiences with disloyal or hateful beings. Other times it’s the result of financial concerns or lost love. Too much culture, and too many options, a commitment to one another is a beautiful thing.

I’m inherently pro-creation. I guess we notice a few things along the way.

“Some people will give up on you.”

People should be afforded the choice to abort the process of their own creation. When and who pays for it is an endless debate in managing massive populations. My heart of hearts believes that a certain point is met where it really is too late.

Check your pulse now.

Yet, I hear that a man shouldn’t speak on these matters. Whether you call it a fetus or a baby, it is holding half of a father’s DNA. Article one allows us all to speak up, right now is when our collective future is born. What can possibly be the side effects of following the mainstream artificial insemination of views? We don’t need the hate. We can be more accountable, more compassionate, and speak freely on our thoughts within, but times are hard it seems, and everyone is ready to take offense.

The impoverished have difficult decisions to make. The struggle is real for a lot of people, and beyond health, the environment for growth is a major concern. It’s a shame if a man walks away, but let’s look into it a little further. Florida’s reported abortion statistics show that 75% of the procedures performed were elective with another 20% for social or economic reasons. Although less than 2% occurred due to risk of the mother’s psychologic or physical health, and a fraction of 1% resulted from tragic rape or incest, these reasons seem to dominate public conversation. There’s obviously clouded judgement around the morality or deadline for abortion services – pun unfortunately intended – and there are darker gray areas around state-funds and taxpayers covering the fees.

Legal or not, do you naturally trust when anything is offered to you free? No, you hang up the phone instead – labor and delivery are also costly to health plans. Don’t abort this message now, this is about acceptance of each other’s rage.

I already hear all the complaining. People are going mad, and I can’t sleep either, pulling out or using protection is a choice too.

Roll your eyes, this is none of my business, regardless of the situation. I’m just trying to help it. A genuine voice of good is what the world needs.

We should keep up with our greatest gift that is our health; be responsible, careful, for ourselves and each other. Right or wrong, sometimes we push for it all. They say wait for the right one to come along and start a family, but sometimes people slip, and other times the conventional route isn’t possible. It takes genuine love, time, and wages to parent or take in a foster child to call home. But the laws are complicated, the process is pricey, and there are thousands of hopeful couples waiting to adopt a child.

Sometimes the cards don’t deal good luck, money, or positive change. They may deal a few problems, pain, and people with a lot of silent opinions. An instagram story, tweet, meme, or blog rarely leads to any actual difference anyway. I’ve been painting all that we see on the screens as a production, essentially a pitch to make us feel a certain way. How many generations had a digital drill of infinite information in their face like this from the start? It just pushes us further and further away.

Life shouldn’t be taken so easily, but we live in a time where young adults struggle to provide sufficiently for themselves. What one does with their body is their business, until it’s funded with the nation’s 40%. Hate is taxing on us, and it’s an ugly look on anyone. But mistakes have been made, and there’s no one seeking forgiveness.

There are pockets in all populations with ill-will, and that’s the unfortunate truth. But we can’t paint every group or issue with a black or white brush against the wall.

This goes for a lot of things, don’t waste your time. Our values have been compromised.

Are all these words breathing heavy? Are we trying to bring the circle together, or adding divisive lines between each other? Which side of this topic leans closer to addition of business by subtracting human resources? The numbers don’t really add up. There’s evidence in the industry of a cycling money trail between political affiliations and healthcare.

Break through the wall. Recent controversial late-term abortion legislation has created an aggressive response against abortion rights and women’s reproductive health in some states, and it’s reeling in an uproar. Let me take a turn. Rarely does one highlight how the numbers are extremely lop-sided against minorities in this country. Abortion has taken 19 million lives from the black population before a first breath, and that’s more than any other cause of death for the race since Roe v. Wade legalized abortion in 1973. Who’s lives really matter? Ask the governor of Virginia.

Some people are waking up. Blexit movement cold facts are that the popular reproductive health organization that de-plans parenthood donates hundreds of millions of dollars each year to the democratic national committee, while only paying $1 per year on a 20 year lease for a site in Austin, Texas. Another clinic is shutting down in one of the states that recently enacted pro-life legislation, but so much for offering ancillary reproductive health services. It’s safe to stop wondering why federal funding to the organization has been controversial in the news. Perhaps they can be funding patients’ care with the political donations. Better yet, why not distribute it directly to organizations supporting people planning parenthood by adoption or the development of urban communities where these services are statistically most used? Would you create a risk in undermining profitable business? The scandals of this particular health clinic’s recent history and origination are as scary as they are true, but necessary services are indeed provided.

I bet people will get upset I brought race into the debate too. Sorry, it’s my piece, and you don’t have a vote in this. Thank god times have changed – I’m just pointing out existing flaws and hypocrisy in the far-left pursuit of equality.

We have to be pro-something, so I became pro-truth. This has all been unplanned in advance. Life is a blessing with every beat. It’s never too late for forgiveness and gratitude to heal a misguided heart.

If you disagree, it’s okay. Call on the saints and mothers who look after us – I don’t have all the answers for who’s to pay or care for a pro-life future. In certain cultures, we pray.

Love is my religion, and we shouldn’t hate someone for the way they think. To some, the value of life is eternal and infinite, and people just want to belong. Accept the fate and focus on how to treat each other. It seems like all these identity politics and movements work against our unity. The desire to reproduce is biologically in some of our DNA. If you physically can’t, then why not support the cause, or tune into to the voices of those who adopt or share this message. Maybe we can all focus our time and wealth into fostering a stronger community with a vision of sustainable growth.

Thanks to our past that led us here, but more importantly to our future selfless Moms and Dads, with a little bit of help from above…

Create with love.

“We live in a society today where these children can be wanted children. Even if you don’t want to keep this child after you’ve had it, there’s plenty of young couples out there that want children.”

-Norma McCorvey, also known as Jane Roe, the plaintiff from the landmark Roe v Wade Supreme Court case where state laws banning abortion were deemed unconstitutional. Side note – she later made her name public becoming a devout Christian and pro-life advocate.

We have to learn to accept each other’s point of views.

I hope that gender, race, and political stances don’t divide us and we all find something to put our faith in.

I’m just trying to share my message in a world I preach is being being fed too much through the device in our hands. Read this, then go get some space from the samsung or iphone family. Reconnect with yours or yourself. These popular platforms were engineered to draw more eyes and income on ads if you continue scrolling, and continues to feed you more of the same. It’s why some people continue to hate the other side of where they stand. You’re either confused or you begin to see through all the non-sense.

Sorry, I’m not sorry if I offended anyone. I share this with good intention, accepting your thoughts and giving you mine.

Pick a craft, perfect a talent, mess it up here and there. Just leave it to faith, fall, or fail, but just go forward; it’s no big deal. Tell me how you feel or don’t – feel free to remain silent. We have been programmed to become confused with hate and check out of not-only politics, but many things altogether. And damn it, the problems in our minds and pockets shouldn’t keep us from all getting together.

What is the true value of life?

If we succumb to the division, it just becomes the blind leading the blind toward hate! Love is understanding and acceptance mixed with a tall glass of gratitude, for life.

To the one who endlessly loves me and my writing, with hopes to one day create our own – thank you baby!

Guilty in this

It’s one big show, and if you listen close, you can hear them talking behind the curtains. Come out and take a bow, it doesn’t make any sense. We all bit the apple, and our society has become a walled garden with starving roots. It takes time and some love to identify and remove the contaminants of our truth.

Hey you…Yeah, you! Wake up! It’s time to go to work, you have bills to pay and people to keep. If you haven’t already, stop believing what you see on TV or on social media platforms today. I mean, seriously wake up! There are millennial-z still scrolling in a studio, with kids out of college and grown adults embarrassed to live in their parent’s house, and it’s nonsense. The world is pushing upwards of 8 billion heads, with a rough half struggling to fill up a plate or stand on their own feet. Fewer families eat at the table together today, so forgive me in advance. I’m digging deeper into pains to plant these seeds for our world again.

A few of us are still trying to make it big, I see. It’s okay to need each other. Uncle Sam still collects, tracking moves in all our gigs, neither data nor dollars will ever define us. How do you treat others? Rare artifacts are like the truth; hard to find in history and lucky if given by those next to you. You climb the ladder and meet a few cold souls that don’t even acknowledge that they’re lost at times too. We all fall, but always get up, I know this goes damn well for everyone.

Words are cheap, and only cost us time, I’m tired of us giving up our “right now.” Instead of blaming the world for each problem we continue to lose to, we can spark the action out of our spin cycles. There’s this woman that showed me something, and everything started to change. Follow a passion, even it doesn’t make a buck, a commitment to Love is better – so make time for it. Don’t tie emotions into every aspect of life, keep your head up and understand, our intuition is a voice that comes from an innate connection to the energy around us. And sometimes within us – Give love always.

Take notice of the distractions and detractors in these pursuits.

A gift is in every day, so embrace what you choose. You’re blessed to wake up safe, with God’s grace in good health and walk free; be grateful for everything.

Look at our countries and look closely at all who lead. Human nature and greed have led this world to a rumbling state.

I’ll speak on our’s.

Why do we hustle until dawn to race through a commute and force a meal down every day? For every day off or vacation, New Yorkers can’t wait for the next escape. What is the true cost of living? Sit back and breath a second – figure this thing out!

The greatest form of love is in being you; take care of the self first, then remove it. The more we each understand ourselves and those in our circle, the more we attract the universe that is deserved. Hopefully we’re lucky with the time to navigate through the blurs and gather facts – there are blessings in wins and losses. Going back years, civilization met a point where decision-makers turned humanity against the wave of good. Self-interests propagated greed, and this eventually bred hate, and it slowly spread to the rest of us through the ages. If technology has brought us infinite information, and wealth brings financial freedom, what good does it serve if small groups with big pockets are in control of it or you’re too busy to even care?

The love for power or the power of love – what weighs heavier in you?

As far as I can see, humanity is collectively lost, and it’s rare we talk about it. Programmed to tap hearts on shared posts, yet we’re reluctant to share hearts tapping into chaos of minds in our presence. Drive out any hate that lies within, we are dying for truth. Sometimes people are products of their environments and generations, there is no exact point to blame. Less becomes more in a drifting society where communication lines of trust are sacrificed by problems we face alone today. Some of us know that we are all deeply connected way beyond the highlights viewed on the screen or feelings shared in presence. We can never be strangers as our true culture only thrives on unity and acceptance of all.

The world may be divided by the borders of nations, but it seems humanity calls for healing, true freedom, and security through our great one. These pains have built within, but also crash from out, the poles shifted just a bit. Check the axes, take note of what actually occurred on the compass. You’re still not following, the Earth’s true magnetic north recently moved a slightly different direction. This is serious stuff, but what’s lost can still be found with some change. If you’re not living with love, let’s start guiding each other today.

Put your hands together, look in the mirror or a little further beneath the surface for your truth. Light up and share love – that’s the way.

The truth is in love is in you, yet, you still might not share it. It’s okay, this is unconditional.

Light in the shade

Damn – I really didn’t see that coming. Life can give you every reason to smile.

If you ever experienced a significant loss, you realize how much we take for granted, and how easy it becomes to drift away. We lose our focus emphasizing negatives in our lives, and fail to realize an awakening that begins.

The big picture shows that our generation pumps the brakes on settling down. The cause – a multitude of factors, but as the digital age connects the world through smartphones, our souls and inner circles starve in disconnection. We work to make ends meet vulnerable to these distractions. When deciding or validating which side of socially constructed divides we stand, we lie stagnant in our own battles. There’s noise out there and the volume is always up, what kind of influences do you allow in? Observe the consequence, and plug into the thoughts sparked by you.

Time proves that with any major experience lies a lesson; a seed for growth or a hurdle to clear. Our conscience is constantly pulled in different directions. Both personal and financial stresses can boil over into other problems, or worse – health matters. And nobody deserves that pain. Learn to let things go, life can’t be taken too seriously and doesn’t have to be figured out today. There’s something special about a plan or two, reaching goals is a beautiful thing. But without love and good health, you have nothing. Take your time and stand up for yourself, this is my take.

Commit to something, honestly. Try proving the law of attraction with some focus and persistence. People will say what they think you want to hear, so appreciate those who speak truthfully or at least show you with behavior. There are song lyrics and jokes about catching feelings these days, feeding it to the world as a weakness. But strength is in understanding, trust in your intuition, feeling is what grows you.

What misses you may not be meant for you. No egos are necessary, humility is served by the world eventually. Life isn’t always fair, but it’s better when you’re happy with how you have it, and still stride forward every day.

Vision’s clear. Words typed in black and white, true colors never fade. With your path or with love, start over if you have to. Find light in the shade.

The real you

“It’s 5 O’clock somewhere!” Cheers.

Yeah, enough of that. We get it. You’re stressed and could use a happy hour. But nobody cares anymore, welcome to America! What do you do with your free time?

I start to think about all of things that were chosen for us since day 1. Our background, education, and environment allowed each of us to develop a core set of morals and values shaping our lifestyles today. The fast-paced culture molded us together programming various sets of rules to live by from the start. Forget what you believe is right or wrong, there are always exceptions. Regardless of your personal problems, accept that we’re not all built the same. Discomfort and disagreements are prerequisites of change.

Open up – You’re closed off after another drag of a day. Money comes and goes, but I’m not making sense, yet. You get home, walk into the room, throw keys on the table, and jump on the couch or bed; that phone is out quick. The new rule of thumb, relax a little. We work to pay the cost of living, numbing our time, viewing stories and posts on the app you flipped from. I bet the TV is on in the background too. Visual media is designed to attract eyes, retain focus, and keep you coming for more. Programming genius, it only takes a notification to trigger your dopamines. The addictions might already be pulling you back. Break the chain and throw a heart on it later; a talk can go a long way.

Are you doing what you love, or just collecting a paycheck? If you value the time, realize we are paying either way. How are you spending tonight? Better yet, let’s see how long you can pay attention. I don’t write these words so you think I’m “woke”, I’m tired of witnessing good people sleep through a death sentence. Life can be short, pardon the dramatic effects. The crowds fill with stale emotions, while individuals search for love that unconditionally stays. A happiness that starts with you. In a society constantly distracting us from our purpose, and a culture driving a stake through us and our homes, a divided mind and soul search for the real you.

Appreciate the power in a simple message. On it or off the radar, don’t mistake absence as a lack in care or confidence. Even if you think someone turned cold, apologize. It’s about that time, and it’s easy to run low.

Excuses for some, but I imagine most of us expect more from certain others. A relationship is valuable, and it deserves attention and effort. It’s time some can’t consistently give, because they never appropriate enough for themselves. Or maybe they just don’t have the heart to only give you half. Gratitude with acceptance is all it is. Cheers to those who are just living, loving without conditions or expectations. You deserve it all.

Laugh when the good times are rolling. Stop when it hurts too much to push forward. Cry when the pain is too deep. Don’t lie or withhold truth to avoid discomfort. Text it if you have to and by all means, slow down. Breathe, meditate, or pray on it. Get with the real program and show love to yourself and others. Treating honesty, honestly – there’s honor in being the realest version of you. Understand that they won’t all accept it, but you should. Moving on.

It’s ironic; they will pour the love on extra when it’s over. With broken ties, they might even resort to hate or slander your name. Either way, I hope you find the strength that builds in forgiveness; for them, and for you.

If we’re all just walking together in this temporary life, why would we ever let disparaging views, social norms, expectations, or comparison waste what’s true? Another exception that will rule; less becomes more.

With endless information and content at our fingertips, while being “connected” to one-another 24-7, the streaming stimulation creates an unrealistic desire for instant gratification. It seems as though our generations evolve through this digital age with a collective head in the clouds.

As do the skies when they become heavy, we should open up and allow our world to grow. Take some time to water the soul. If you’ve been struggling with what holds you down or brings you pain, let the light in and let it go.

Contagious Love, thank you.

A peace of mine

Vision’s blurry from a society of addictions – this is actually dope, I mean deep. We use humor, sarcasm, cold fronts, cockiness, or other dummy means as a barrier to our deeper layers. No hard feelings. Actually, no feelings at all. We build a wall with intentions of making others pay for it; it’s the American way.

Burning bridges or building them too, some people feel like they have the whole world on their shoulders. It’s just the way it is now. This is another quick trip into the deep end. If you take anything from this at all – don’t think too much, dive in.

A piece of my peace – Love.

Look, it’s exhausting isn’t it? We’re tired of people telling us how to tie and walk in our shoes. How to live and how to love – they don’t know our truth. They’re in our TV, our phones, at work, family, friends, and our homes. They don’t know what weighs on our conscience, or what fuels the fire that burns inside. The heart wants what it wants. We were always taught to follow it, but learn through failure, loss, or heartbreak that our path depends on how we handle our thoughts with those pains.

Then one day she hit me, Love. We were in over our heads, gasping for air. “Breathe in the blessings, breathe out the doubt”, she whispered.

On the coldest night, the scars she fed turned to strengths, and this love she spilled allowed an embrace of pain. I could be on top of the world, or going through hell, she shows that heaven on earth could be a smile away. I smile because I will, always.

We try to find and remain on the proper path in life, and others merely prepare to ride the waves. Over-saturation of people and content; minds get mixed up, and noise causes confusion, but the soul will always highlight the play of the heart. You were born to feel that way, so fly with me again. Do you know what love is?

First, sit down; be humble. Humility lies in her understanding.

An unconditional, self and reciprocated appreciation and acceptance, and yet they label her crazy. Accepting what is, working towards what’s best, and trusting she’s returned in your name. Communication is the bridge to her trust, and not every ramp on or off is built the same. Love could never be lost. You either run out of time, or you never walked together. Keep asking, are we on the same page?

Loaded words, “I’m different” tatted on every forehead. I feel the world numb those nerves. She’s loyal to verbs, focusing attention on actions. Every ego takes a loss up front. Cut any losses and find her light in whatever is left to stay. We always forgive when love is real. Her promise remains, it will be okay.

Easily consumed, her kindness removes all doubt. Feeling her energy, we admire the careful empathy. She’s infinitely selfless and collects every piece of you that drifted away.

I don’t desire a day unless her smile begins it – a peace of my mind. Once again – with a silent mind, the soul accentuates the fate of the heart.

The pure bliss in her presence. A sixth sense, a missing link to the divine. They all fly down with her heavenly laugh and smile; a heart skips over a glance in her eyes.

If you’re broken down about the past, or lost in the now, it all starts within. Let her light up the sky like his only Sun. I caught a glimpse of a soul eclipse, sharing our worlds like they were always one.

It’s a blessing to feel; acceptance of what is, a Love true. Creating a world of happiness starts in you.

In her silence.

Damn, that was serious. Happy Valentine’s day!

Blind writing, I wonder if I was painting pictures, making music, or maybe moving a soul or two. Where’s the love?

Too busy, it becomes easy to judge or doubt. We doubt ourselves, each other, entire groups of people and it eventually turns to hate. It’s like her love, it just breeds more. We build tough exteriors confusing it for strength, but the truth is we’re actually soft now, shying away from what might spark some more profound life experiences.

I’m talking about love in all forms. In a partner, pursuit of a dream, yourself, work, friends, family, or even in humble exchanges with strangers. It’s a feeling of healing, and nevermind us or those around us, what if those in power gave it more? It just might heal the world. Hate and greed are out here putting in overtime though.

It just seems that we’re pre-conditioned to keep going and keep producing to a point we are spread so thin that we make internal sacrifices. We regress to caring less about connecting at more visceral levels with ourselves or others. Hearts on instagram posts are as far as it goes nowadays. Viral, it spreads quick, and real life takes a hit. We can actually see the compounding external consequences around us in society.

Where’s the love? Broken homes, families shattered in shootings at schools, poverty, depression rates among youth higher than ever. Even beautiful homes, filled with family spending time alone staring at phones. Turn on the news and we see fabrication and propaganda. A broken system lined with socially constructed anaesthetics slowly taking true feeling and connection out of humanity. How many times have you agreed to keep in touch with someone, and since then, you’ve been out of it? Careless and out of touch.

No easy solutions, but scars are scars. Hide them, cover them up, or embrace them as realities. That’s what they are. As one person in one family of one people, healing starts with acceptance. Love in our hearts and at home; it runs deep.

It’s why I said “dive in”. If your hurting, working, or turning up, pour some love on it with your time. Make a splash in this world, and sit back and watch the waves when you can. Even if they move just one. Be thankful.

Lost ones found

Some people don’t even get the chance to say “goodbye”. Life goes on until our number is called and that’s all we know. That moment you realize death changes one thing only. It signifies the end of a soul’s presence in it’s physical being. That soul’s love and energy continue on in a different form, in and around us all, always. We choose to believe it in order to feel it, it’s called Faith.

For those not so in tune with their spirituality, you might think that idea is farfetched, and death signifies the absolute end. Physics’ 3 Laws of Energy; Conservation of Energy states that “energy cannot be created nor destroyed, rather, it transforms from one form to another.”

Okay, but energy is referred to in those laws scientifically, as in mechanical, electrical, thermal, nuclear, etc.. I get it, the spiritual energy discussion might never be proven, but unless your religious or personal belief system is fundamentally different, disbelieving is essentially a pessimistic approach. We all have energy and vibrations, and they need to transfer or transform. Not believing in a higher afterlife existence in a world where there was a 1 in a quintillion chance of your own Earthly existence sounds like negligence.

Why do we dream or feel a lost one’s presence at times? Why have I heard countless people say it “felt like they were still with us”? Their souls, their love and energy have to keep going. As soon as we allow ourselves to welcome this idea and their energy, we can start to heal from the pain of our physical loss, and we can continue to share the love we always have, just in a different way. I’m telling you, there are higher beings at play.

IN GOD WE TRUST

Don’t we?

I was roughly 18 years old when I was first finding a true sense of my spiritual awareness. We had recently lost my grandfather and we decided to also visit the gravesite of my brother at a cemetery in the Bronx. Little known, he was the second-born, but passed away in his infancy. I didn’t recall visiting in my teens so it was a big moment for me as the youngest. I have always been tight with my siblings, and was curious about the role he plays in my life, and in our lives. I thought of times I slipped away from danger or an accident with ease. Is he out there? Does he watch us at all? Could he be my guardian angel?

I’m thinking this as we were all driving back to Pelham Parkway. You may have heard of it. My extended family was all gathering at my grandparents’ apartment. We park the car and I step out of the rear-left door, and on the floor I find a little black ball. Let me remind you, I was a young adult trying to wrap my head around these family losses, and essentially in the dark when it came to faith. I step out of the car and by my foot, I find a black toy ball with on one side, two big eyes painted on, wide open. It was either a coincidence or a sign, brother above was watching me all the way. Let me hold that thought, we never could be too sure.

I am sure he’s smiling now as I write this, right there watching down with my Dad, proud I hope. I’m on the couch across the living room from my Mother and she’s sleeping, TV still on – “Modern Family”. Go figure.

Flashback again, this time a few years ago, 26 years old.

Now I was about to be the man of the house, there was only a day or two left with my Dad still physically here. Writing was on the wall, yet I wasn’t ready to deal with fate. I needed to quit thinking of ways to miraculously save him, and start on acceptance. Seriously, my Dad was soon to have his last rites read and there I was, delusional, driving all the way to Port Chester, New York trying to find this magic cancer-curing fruit juice from South America. I kid you not, I think it was called “guanabana”. Taste great actually, but it served no purpose. I guess when it comes to these kinds of things it always feels a little too late, we try anything to compensate.

Anyway, it was time to let go, mentally prepare, and let him drift away into the next life, if you will. So one morning I head out to my car for a coffee run. I parked at a CVS overnight across the street from the hospital. I open the driver-side door on my Acura and there they were planted on the side mirror. “Objects in Mirror are Closer Than They Appear” sent from the other side. Stunned, 2 eyes, again. Similar to eyes you’d find on a stuffed animal, these eyes were affixed to my side mirror, large and perfectly centered. In my darkest times on this Earth, another sign of eyes came back to stare right into my soul. Guardian angels are watching all the time, this time I’m sure. The message; this pain is here, yes, but it’s all meant to be. Trust God.

I pray for strength in those who don’t get that extra gift we were blessed with. Extra time with a lost loved one. We were given two extra weeks with my Dad to wish our farewells. In that time I received the most powerful love in family and sympathy, signs that faith prevails, and signs that it is all written. It’s written right here.

Remove ourselves from the equation, our personal desires to see, touch, or hear them one last time, and just feel the love. It is all we need. It stands the test of time and transforms through death. Be sure to carry it with you, in your heart, and through after your last breath. We’re all walking together, yesterday, now, and forever.

Only the good go young. Every time it has happened it has pushed me closer to becoming more of myself, closer to my dreams.  Every time it has happened it has pushed me closer to the people I belong with. Every time it has happened it has made me appreciate life so much more. A smile, a laugh, a child, a cry; Life is so damn full, unfortunately maybe sometimes He has to take one to remind us of it. Remind us to love and appreciate, it’s what brings out our truth.

If I’m talking to you, it’s meant to be. I could see your eyes now, that love is true. Lost and found, and I’m glad I found you.

Lazy River

Is there too much that meets the eye? It’s actually a collection of puzzle pieces. You’re another one that’s in the right place, sit down.

“Lazy Americans!” You always do.

The lens isn’t always rose-colored and real-world struggles are disheartening. I guess that’s why they say “zoom out”. Have you noticed what’s been going on in the golden state? Tragic wildfires have taken lives and northern homes, while illegal immigrants blitz the border to the south. Horrifying shootings aside, misappropriated finances have stopped major projects in their tracks. California dreaming became a nightmare for thousands of people. But you avoid the news, it’s all politics. The eastcoast is another story as the masses prime an exit from big city schemes. The cost of living blows through the roof, with credit and loan interest fees hailing on your average family’s monopoly game. I’m sorry if this strikes a nerve, sacrifices are necessary for this lifestyle to be preserved. What is anyone doing about it?

The election is coming next November, will you vote?

Red or Blue?

Black or White,

Hop in, we’re all black and blue, participate in your future today. Political census and opinions are only discussed when the polls open or on IG/facebook feeds, but those started being censored years ago. Infinite candidate signs are staked in the ground as we squint around the names in search of a party. Blind red or blue straight tickets – there’s nothing to see. Fictional characters turn up on write-ins, multiple state election boards deal with lawsuits and fraud, and 10 year old scanners caused ballot paper-jams in NYC in 2018. They have us on the same smartphones, but when it comes to administering elections, we are never on the same page. Do you know what state we’re in? Follow the leaders, or the trillions as we dig deep into the hole.

It’s sad to see divided communities, but we know the hurdles vary for people in certain places. Some of us see progress, and others cry out for strangers’ pain. We have our differences, but the same dark red color courses through veins with ancestors’ DNA. Environments and experiences shape character and behavior, and actions are predictable when pockets are tight in a comfortable place. Education only goes so far if a kid’s home trembles of gloom and tension. Higher education takes a kid further, but a hefty cost of living prevents large asset purchases and the masses get sacked by high interest fees. A happy home is built within, but TV shows, movies, and games expose us to sex addiction, abuse, and violence. The news shares bias mixed with grim truths and technology provides outlets to sink further into isolation as if there is nothing else to do. Hard-hitting – reading this is uncomfortable, but that’s necessary for growth. It’s easy to point at problems when we see the effects on our generation today. Solutions can wait until tomorrow, until the day comes that it can’t.

My fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you–ask what you can do for your country.

President John F. Kennedy, Innaugural address, January-1961.

Go read or listen to JFK’s speech. It’s a shame humanity was deprived of his leadership for long.

Now listen to our president speak today. Seriously, the SNL skits can’t compete sometimes. All jokes aside, the White House has had a few since President Clinton and Monica hit the stalls. From intern to apprentice, now Trump is boosting TV ratings and clickbait. My approval rating is an “A & E” for a focus on American economy, acting elementary at times, and automatic twitter fingersmass exposure. Dumbing down America has always been primetime TV, and today it’s available while dinner goes out the other way. Real news, Trump has united people with or against him, actually following through on his words, and inspiring further participation in politics as another president is handed the burden of an inflated economy. Friction ahead, we change the station and are exposed to polarizing views. Yet, the conversation is avoided at work where ironically, it’s all politics too. With truest values bi-partisan, the least this will spark is a debate of ignorance in millennial attitudes. It’s all smoke and mirrors on the screen as the future is established behind closed doors; higher powers pay-to-play ball.

Numbers don’t lie, there’s always a debt to pay. Rewind to late 2001 after 9/11, when president Bush, Jr. was tossing a first pitch on world series stage – Yankee stadium. A strike and we were united, yet look what has unfolded since that demonstrative scene. Decades later and still at war in Afghanistan, a couple thousand lives sadly lost, and almost a trillion spent by our defense. If it promises our safety, I’m thankful, but why is the Taliban still there and in control? There’s a hierarchy of needs unfulfilled across our entire population, regardless of race and creed. How do we help others if we struggle to help ourselves? It seems we are merely an extension of our great nation. We grasp for strengthening equality, blessed that wars are only fought in trade or overseas. The price of this lifestyle is our taxes, but it’s still not okay to complain about the PACs funding thieves.

A free world has been a privilege to know, and incredible to live in. A daily calm, beautiful people, food on the table, work on the plate, and a roof overhead; I’m sorry for those that only know something else. I wake up feeling guilty at times, because an innocent billion or more live in the misery of real famine, and I worry about the long line at Dunkin making me late for the train. Basic Joes, we are owed nothing.

This is about the greed of humanity driving people over the wall. Pun intended, US debt is 22+ trillions in the red, and the spending light is always green. Global debt is up around $184 trillion and can be tracked on a debt clock. US corporations are running debts past $9 trillion and a credit score is still pegged to your name. The never-audited Fed continues to print cash and bail out the very financial institutions that cause Americans grief from their greed. Don’t be surprised by any market’s volatility as their is a global tug-of-war for control. Tighter budgets, aggressive sales, expected ROIs, deadlines, and lush corporate bonuses influence the middle-class day-to-day. The divide between the rich and poor expands, and although it’s not easy to lead, the plot thins out for all.

Whether global problems and issues dividing our country and major cities affect you, you are entitled to the problems of your own. Politics are the last thing on so many minds, we do what we have to do. Are you actually in-tune or just drifting along? Maybe, people feel insignificant in our democracy, because no matter who has been in office, not much has changed in daily lives. Acceptance of the path, with plenty of people pushing agendas, the lazy river might just flood the next generation.

It’s easy to be a critic, but the beauty of our country is that we are allowed to have something to say. Don’t become complacent in our relatively luxurious world. We have an abundance compared to the rest of it. Instead of dissecting the images, disconnect; then plug in and examine what goes on beneath the surface of the lazy river. We are and we aren’t, trusting who serves the best interests of us all.

The path of least resistance is silence. Politically incorrect or not, speaking up will offend someone these days. Thank you for putting the time in. Create, write, help, or just be present to add value – find that spark in you, and make your impact today!

With good-work.

Finally, whether you are citizens of America or citizens of the world, ask of us here the same high standards of strength and sacrifice which we ask of you. With a good conscience our only sure reward, with history the final judge of our deeds, let us go forth to lead the land we love, asking His blessing and His help, but knowing that here on earth, God’s work must truly be our own.” (JFK, Inaugural address, January – 1961)
